Downtown Raleigh’s Kitchen Table
A Beloved Raleigh Institution Returns
Sunflower's Cafe was a beloved Raleigh favorite for 37 years. Now, it's back on the south side of downtown.
Quinn, the son of the original Sunflower’s founders, has reopened this Raleigh classic with his wife Rae, and the food is exactly what people remember, and more. Everything is still made from scratch, from the chicken salad with fresh-squeezed lemon to the desserts their son James bakes every morning.
It's a family-owned kitchen with the same warmth and quality that made the original a Raleigh institution — the kitchen table of the neighborhood.
